Do you want to integrate Ayurveda in your Yoga classes and work with clients?

Have you been working with women and are you in love with the wisdom of Ayurveda? Are you really wanting to be able to teach a whole lot more than Vata, Pitta and Kapha? However, do you feel that a full 4-year practitioner course is too much of an investment in time and money at this moment?

Then this unique course is for you! Focussing specifically on Ayurveda for all the cycles of women’s reproductive health, you will learn the depth of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic nutrition, lifestyle and kitchen remedies for women's health. Furthermore, you will explore some connections with the sister science of yoga and other ancient healing systems like the Abdominal Therapy in the lineage of Dr. Rosita Arvigo.

Hi, I am Liese

I am a three times certified Ayurveda Practitioner, a Sivananda hatha yoga teacher specialized in Birthlight Perinatal and Well Woman Yoga and Abdominal Therapist in the lineage of Dr. Rosita Arvigo.

I have been teaching yoga for 25 years, including pre- and postnatal, baby yoga and well woman yoga and various Ayurveda topics for 15 years. My journey into women's health began with a deep desire to heal and balance my own menstrual challenges. Along the way I discovered the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, Yoga and Abdominal Therapy. Each one of these gave me a deeper understanding of myself and how to help myself create more balance in my life and in my body-mind system. The teachings I've learned to integrate into my own life, and which I've shared with clients and students for the past 25 years, have impacted the lives of many people around the world. The most important factor in using the wisdom of Ayurveda is to address the root cause of what's really going on in the body and mind, rather than just treating the symptoms. I truly believe that the foundation for healing any imbalance in the body and mind lies in an approach that addresses each woman's unique physiology.

Stepping into one's own power and wisdom is essential to regaining, reclaiming and maintaining vital health at any age.

This course has grown out of several years of teaching Ayurveda modules within the Birthlight Well Woman Yoga trainings, where it was met with enthusiasm and requests for more. What has now taken shape is a comprehensive course that covers the full cycle of women’s health — from menarche to menopause.

My motto is 'Ancient Wisdom made Practical for you'. The ancient teaching of Ayurveda will work miracles when you really learn to integrate advices in your own personal life in a modern world.

To master it requires many years of intense study, if not a lifetime!

What you will not learn:

  • Learning to diagnose disease or deep-seated issues

  • Learning to treat disease or deep-seated issues

  • Working with herbal medicine and supplements (Dravya Guna)

  • Ayurvedic bodywork & treatments

  • To become an Ayurveda therapist, practitioner or doctor

  • To teach yoga
